We are delighted to have been invited by Norwich City FC to participate in “Green Football Weekend” by running a pop-up stall at Carrow Road today but what are our green credentials?
All of our stock is repurposed
We obtain our stock from the following sources:
1. Norwich City FC Retail: We purchase discontinued lines and previous seasons’ shirts, training and leisure wear from the club shop. This is all brand new, with tags but is no longer sold via the club retail outlets.
2. Norwich City Training Ground: All of the Norwich City staff, players and academy scholars are issued with new kits each season. Many of the staff at the Lotus training ground donate their old kit to us. We also receive much of the end of season kit, much of it brand new and unused, from the first team kit men and the academy manager.
3. Community Sports Foundation: We receive kit, training wear and coats from the staff and coaches who provide football services around Norfolk for the CSF. We also receive any unused kit that is left over at the end of the season.
4. Norwich City Fans: We are happy to receive donations of unwanted shirts, books and football memorabilia from fans. We collect donations at our shop in the Forum, Norwich.
Other green elements of our project include:
– We have a fully electric van which we use to move our stock from our storage unit to our shop.
– We use with the Co-operative bank who are known for their approach to sustainability and business ethics.
– Our shop is located in the Forum, Norwich which has a sustainability plan.
– We do not use plastic bags or utensils in the shop.
– Stock is received from Norwich City FC in cardboard boxes which are recycled and in biodegradable packaging.
– We have opened an online shop using DHL as our courier.
